Chemical recycling - a novel solution to the plastic waste challenge

Neste is committed to become a solution provider for chemical recycling, and has set itself the ambitious target to have the capability to process over 1 million tons of waste plastic annually. Chemical recycling of waste plastic is a complementing solution to traditional, mechanical recycling. It can handle mixed and poor quality plastics, that have no or low value in mechanical recycling, and turn them into new, virgin quality products. Chemical recycling offers new potential to increase recycling rates and help tackle the growing challenge of waste plastic.
